SL 217: COMPUTING FOR SURVEYING II 2022/2023

SL: 217 ASSIGNMENT 2016-2017

This Assignment is to be done in groups of two for a thorough approach and has to be submitted before 5pm today. Each class member should choose a colleague and approach this assignment with careful consideration.  

TO NOTE:

• Almost 30% of your overall mark in SL: 217 depends on this assignment so don't mess it up:
• Choice of team mate is left to individual preference.
• Submissions beyond 5:00 pm will not be marked.
• Mac-Addresses and IP addresses of original works submitted will be carefully and expertly scrutinized to trace the origins of the drawings. (Don't dare test the geek in me - I will get you!)
• Shared work will lead to disqualification of both groups engaged in the malpractice. 
• I therefore advise you work on One laptop or computer from start to finish and submission of the assignment should be on the same machine.

RE: Road Edges
SH : Spot Heights
Access: Access road
ST: Slope Top
SB: Slope Bottom
RC: Rocky area accompanied by the number
toe: Embankment begging or slope
tre/tr: tree
cm: corner mark stones
ah: ant hill

Using the data downloaded and the key above draw the complete topographic map in CAD 

Write in the comments section below this link the group number and  group members for each group after downloading the  csv file. 

For example My Group with Mr. Richard Walyoba is GROUP 0 so after I download the file, I Go to comments section and write:

"Group 0: Walyoba Richard & Kabagambe Mathius Basta"

You can see it in the comments section for this assignment thread. This will enable me know which members accessed the file and at what time they downloaded it which is important for me.
